This week I’m talking to Kate.

We talk about videogames and how they can be a gateway to literacy. How it all counts, not just the stuff that looks the most like school, and how you can structure your yearly plan to protect your mental health. Unfortunately, when we recorded this interview in the spring I had a bad throat and so sound really gravely, so sorry about that.

This week I’m talking to Philippa, @ExitSupermum on Instagram.

Since Philippa is a second generation home educator we talk about how home education has changed over the last 25 years. We also talk about how home education gives children the space to be wholly themselves and protects them from peer pressure and being labeled. And book recs turns into a bit of an Astrid Lindgren love fest when Philippa’s readaloud turns out to be one of my favourite books ever.
